Privacy
The policy page.
Cove is private by architecture, not by policy page. Here is the policy page anyway: the website, the email list, and the app.
Last updated September 30, 2026
The website
It counts page visits and Download clicks with Plausible Analytics, an open-source tool we run ourselves: no cookies, no personal data, no tracking across sites or devices. Its one script loads from our own analytics server and nothing else does.
The email list
- One topic. Cove release news, and nothing else.
- Stored with Resend, the service that sends the email. Your address goes there and nowhere else, not even to analytics.
- Unsubscribe anytime from any email, or write to privacy@covereader.com to see or delete what we hold.
The Cove app
- No analytics, no account, no cloud service. Articles are fetched and read on your Mac.
- Optional crash reports are anonymized before they leave your Mac: the error, a stack trace, your Cove and macOS versions, and a short log of what the app was doing — never page or feed addresses, titles, or article text. One switch in Settings turns them off.
Changes
If what the site or the app collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. Questions: privacy@covereader.com.
